"مشروع "الإستقرار الأسري"

Families Forum discusses enhancing family stability. The Orphan Care Center (Dreama) has organized the activities of the first forum for fostering families in the presence of a large group of such families in Dreama. The forum aimed to identify how to inform the child of his status, exchange experiences and know the reactions of children in fostering families. The forum presented the most important difficulties and the exchange of experiences in how to report and know the reactions of children, break the barrier of fear for mothers when reporting, and working to overcome difficulties and find proper solutions with view to achieving family stability. "Family fostering project at the center is one of the most important projects," said HE Maryam Bint Ali Bin Nasser Al Missned, Executive Director of Dreama Orphans Care Center. She added that it aims to integrate the children of Dreama into the community by living in alternative Qatari families capable of providing varied aspects of care for those lacking such care according to specific conditions. These families are responsible for the child's care and education, stressing that the forum promotes efforts to upgrade the services offered by the center to the orphan child, and to train alternative foster families and specialists to support and develop the needs of the orphan child to achieve the best standards for serving its orphan children. Dreama is keen to implement its vision on how to make the children of Dreama have independent personalities, make them able to interact and integrate into society, in addition to self-reliance, through bringing them up in line with our religion , culture and customs of the society to become active persons serving themselves and their country. Dr. Amani Yahya Al-Taher, consultant psychiatrist at Dreama, explained that the project (INFORM) is part of a plan for collective treatment for foster families. It is comprised of a number of individuals suffering from one similar problem where they are placed in a circular ring, and they get to know each other, identify the problem they suffer, how to deal with the problem in order to exchange their experiences and solutions. Dreama center has organized awareness workshops for foster families on the importance of informing the fostered child of his status through many workshops organized throughout 2018 and during the first half of 2019. The methods of providing psychological counseling to foster families vary throughout the year, including weekly individual counseling and monthly collective counseling. These workshops have had impact on the center’s fostering families.
