Al Shaqab, a member of Qatar Foundation, announced the organization of the “Al Shaqab Show Jumping League” in collaboration with the Orphan Care Center Dreama, one of the centers under the umbrella of the Qatar Social Work Foundation. This initiative was introduced as a community-driven event aimed at raising awareness, enhancing social integration, and creating interactive spaces that foster lasting partnerships.

On this occasion, Sheikha Najla bint Ahmed Al Thani, Executive Director of Dreama, stated:

“Through this collaboration with Al Shaqab, we strive to create a unique experience for our children by integrating them into a prominent social and sporting event that reflects Qatar’s vision of utilizing sports as a means of social inclusion and strengthening national identity. This event is an opportunity to engage the community in a sporting and social occasion, where equestrianism—as an authentic Qatari value—contributes to reinforcing our educational and social messages. Collaboration with Al Shaqab represents not only a sporting competition but also a platform to raise awareness and strengthen integration between the sports and social sectors.”

For his part, Mr. Mohammed Jaber Al Khayarin, Director of the Equestrian Education Department at Al Shaqab, said:

“The Al Shaqab League comes as part of our commitment to supporting young riders and empowering them to achieve their dreams in the equestrian field. This championship represents a true bridge between local development and global ambition, reflecting Al Shaqab’s vision of nurturing a new generation of riders.”

Al Shaqab, a member of Qatar Foundation, emphasized that this partnership reflects its commitment to supporting the community and promoting values through sports, aiming to raise public awareness of Dreama’s mission in supporting and empowering orphans.

The two-day event featured a show jumping competition along with an awareness and outreach pavilion for Dreama, highlighting its mission, vision, and objectives to provide the best care and empowerment for its children. Through this collaboration, both parties aspired to achieve a sustainable social impact that embodies Qatar’s vision of strengthening solidarity and social responsibility through sports.
