Dreama Launches “Bader” Initiative to Empower Orphans and Promote Social Responsibility
Coinciding with the celebration of World Children’s Day, the Orphan Care Center Dreema, one of the centers operating under the umbrella of Qatar Social Work, announced the launch of its initiative “Bader” during a ceremony held at the Wefaq Center Hall, attended by officials and partners.
This pioneering initiative represents a strategic step to strengthen the concept of social responsibility and engage all segments of society in supporting and empowering orphaned children, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The initiative carries the slogan “Giving never fades… it leaves an impact”, reflecting its philosophy that true giving extends across generations and contributes to building a cohesive society that places orphan empowerment among its national and humanitarian priorities.
The idea behind Bader is to establish a comprehensive interactive electronic platform that harnesses the skills and expertise of community members and directs them toward developing the abilities of orphaned children in diverse fields, including education, vocational training, artistic creativity, life skills, and handicrafts.
The initiative seeks to achieve several strategic objectives, most notably:
Empowering orphaned children and developing their personal and professional capacities.
Attracting community talents from various specialties to support Dreema’s programs.
Promoting the concept of voluntary giving as a deeply rooted national and social value.
Highlighting inspiring success stories that demonstrate the impact of collaboration between society and the center. Building a comprehensive electronic database of volunteers to ensure sustainability and development of initiatives.
To achieve these goals, the initiative follows a clear mechanism: volunteers (called “initiators”) register through the unified electronic platform. Dreema’s specialized team then reviews applications and carefully guides participants according to their expertise, ensuring alignment with the needs of orphaned children. Direct coordination with the Social Services Department will follow to monitor implemented initiatives, with periodic evaluation of their impact through field teams and comprehensive media documentation.
The initiative was launched by Mr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hamda Al Nuaimi , Chief Executive Officer of the Qatari Social Work .
On this occasion, Sheikha Najla bint Ahmed Al Thani, Executive Director of Dreema, stated:
“Today we launch the ‘Bader’ initiative to embody our vision of engaging society in shaping a bright future for our orphaned children. At Dreema, we believe that empowering orphans begins with building bridges of cooperation with the community, and ‘Bader’ is our platform to achieve this integration. Through it, we invest positive energies and transform them into tangible developmental impact that qualifies our children for productive and independent lives, reinforcing giving as a deeply rooted social value.”
Dreema extended sincere thanks to Mwani Qatar for their support and sponsorship of the center’s initiatives. This support reflects their deep belief in the importance of empowering orphans and strengthens Dreema’s ability to achieve its strategic and national goals.
Mr. Hamad Ali Faraj Al-Ansari, Marketing and Public Relations Manager at Mwani Qatar, said:
“Our participation in World Children’s Day, along with the Orphan Care Center Dreema, reaffirms our deep commitment to supporting and nurturing children, who represent the cornerstone of a bright and sustainable future. At Mwani Qatar, we consider empowering children and providing an environment that encourages creativity, learning, and responsibility to be a key pillar of our social responsibility efforts. We firmly believe that caring for children is an investment in the next generation, and that developing their skills and potential is an investment in our nation and its ongoing progress.”
Ultimately, Bader is more than just an initiative—it is a genuine launch toward sustainable community giving that immortalizes impact and drives change, affirming Dreema’s success in mobilizing community energies to serve orphaned children within an organized institutional framework.
