Dreama receives a delegation of oku-der turkish organization
The Orphan Care Center (Dreama) received a delegation from OKU-DER, a Turkish, non-governmental and non-profit organization. The delegation included Mr. Hassan Chilik, the General Manager of the Association, Mr. Fidodoglu, Director of Public Relations Department and Mr. Abdullah Chaweesh from the Social Welfare Department. They listened to the introductory presentation presented by Mr. Mohammed Al Khanji, Director of Social Services Department in Dreama and Mrs. Munira Al Baloushi, Director of Communication and Media Office, and Mrs. Fatima Al Hammadi, head of Internal Care Department. The presentation introduced Dreama's vision as pioneering center in providing care for the orphans and integrating them into the society. Its strategic objectives include providing a safe and stable environment for targeted groups and reduce the number of cases of Homeless to the possible minimal number, in addition to building and developing the institutional capabilities, and community awareness. Dreama’s Executive Director, Mrs. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, highly appreciated the delegation visit and their wish to identify Dreama's plans in the field of caring for orphans. Dreama seeks integrating them in society, providing children with care methods and services and ensuring their stability in alternative fostering families. Dreama also seeks educating the society on the importance of fostering families, providing, legal, social, educational and medical services to children, along with matrimonial services for the sons and daughters and meeting the fostering requirements, including the study of the fostering families' applications after reviewing the social and psychological aspects and selecting the appropriate ones by the committee. She also praised their role in the field of rescue, education and providing services for orphans in Turkey. A team from Dreama Communication and Media Office accompanied the visiting delegation in a tour of Dreama facilities included the medical clinic, activities and academic support villa and a model for the accommodation villa, the kitchen and the tent. After inspecting and recognizing Dreama's facilities, the members of the delegation expressed their appreciation for the efforts of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser and her charitable and distinguished works in the service of humanity. They expressed their appreciation for the efforts of DERIMA in providing shelter and care for orphans, and the excellent services they provide to meet their material, health, psychological, educational, and religious needs. They also valued working to enhance the professional and life capacities of orphan children according to international standards, in preparation for their integration into society and empowerment in all fields. The delegation thanked the management of "Dreama" for the warm welcome It needs mentioning that Dreama also provides an integrated system for the care and accommodation of orphans in the State of Qatar with view to achieving family development and social solidarity. The services of Dreama include services inside Dreama, which include sheltering children inside the homes of the center to provide them with all their needs, in addition to services outside Dreama, which include visiting and inspecting the homes of families applying for fostering a child and other legal, health, educational and awareness services. It is worth mentioning that OKU-DER is a Turkish organization established in 2004. In its educational sector, it is concerned with various educational and cultural projects. It seeks helping individuals acquire reading skill and curiosity of knowledge with view to building his cognitive abilities and develop his critical skills. In the relief sector, the organization is working on several projects that fulfil part of the United Nations Plan for Sustainable Development (2030), to build a knowledge-based society that keeps pace with global development and positively participates in shaping the future.
