His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior shares the joy of “Dreama” children on Sports Day

His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Her Excellency Mrs. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Minister of Social Development and Family, participated in the celebration of the National Sports Day. Translating the state’s interest in children and their participation in such occasions, and believing in the positive impact of sport on the health of children and all segments of society, and consolidating and enhancing the sports culture in implementation of Emiri Resolution No. 80 of 2011, which stipulated designating a sports day for the state. The Honorable Sheikha Najla bint Ahmed Al Thani, Executive Director of the Orphan Care Center “Dreama”, confirmed that the participation of His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the sons of “Dreama”, and the members of Al Noor and Al Shafallah on this day is considered a pride and honor for all, and she pointed to the positive repercussions and the good impact that His Excellency’s participation left on the souls of Children and attendees, and stressed that the State of Qatar always seeks to translate the slogan of humanity in word and deed to the various segments of society, especially to the children of Dreama, who enjoy comprehensive care and various services and meet all their needs provided by the state. She noted the importance of unleashing the latent energies of children and making sport a daily life behavior and practice, pointing out that the National Sports Day is considered a symbol of a sound approach to the health of everyone living in Qatar, and is also considered an opportunity to strengthen social ties between the children of Dreama and society. She added that the participation of the children of Dreama and their integration into various sports was an opportunity to enhance mental and physical activity among children, ignite the spirit of fair competition, and achieve the state’s goals aimed at establishing a culture of sports and physical fitness for everyone in order to establish a balanced, cooperative generation concerned with its health safety and the health of those around it. Sheikha Najla Al Thani pointed out that on Sports Day everyone is encouraged to practice various sporting activities with family members and friends everywhere, and for all ages. All ministries, schools and private companies organize a group of sporting activities and events for their employees and the general public participates in unparalleled community cohesion. unprecedented, and noted that the State of Qatar aims from this day - which it made an official state day - to educate citizens about the importance of exercising, and to urge them to change their lifestyle, and to introduce forms of healthy practices into it.
